If You Want Blood, In This Moment’s Got It

Well, this is different. In This Moment have returned with the first single from their fourth album, Blood. The title track sounds a little bit like a live band trying to play dubstep. Or like nu-metal with a female singer. Vocalist Maria Brink has a pretty good voice, but from her mostly chanted vocals, it’s hard to tell. It’s tough to say what the band’s going for (strip club anthem? an attempt to jump on the KoRn bandwagon?), but we’d have to imagine that there will be remixes of this song, even though it already sounds semi-remixed. But since each In This Moment album has done better than the last, Blood, which comes out on August 14, could be their biggest one yet.
