That’s right, lovers. You heard it here first: Linkin Park are no longer metal. Well, actually they never were metal, even under “nu metal” standards. And with each album, Linkin Park started experimenting even further with electronics and hip hop genres. So it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that their fifth studio album Living Things finds the band disconnecting even further from their rap metal roots. Their first single “Burn It Down” is an electro pop song while “Lies Greed Misery” makes The Path Of Totality sound heavy.

Don’t believe us? Listen to “Lies Greed Misery” in the video above (at least until it gets removed) and the music video for “Burn It Down” after the jump. In case you actually liked what you heard (don’t worry, we won’t judge you), Living Things comes out on June 26.
