Linkin Park’s music has a huge impact on many musicians from different genres ranging from rap to metal to even pop. It has been a month since frontman Chester Bennington’s suicide and while we have heard heartfelt tributes, ONI worked on recording a cover of Linkin Park’s classic tune, “A Place For My Head,” originally from 2000’s Hybrid Theory. These technical progressive metallers expressed the influence the band has on them along with how much they were affected by the singer’s death. This led the group into the studio to record the cover tune as an homage to their fallen musical icon.

Frontman Jake Oni expressed:

“Linkin Park was the first band that introduced me into heavier music, which ultimately lead me down my path of metal. His voice and lyrics affected so many people, especially me. The world will not be the same without Chester Bennington. We decided to record this cover as a tribute to Linkin Park and Chester. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and fans.”
