The Oxford Coma get an Intronaut assist on new song

Posted by on August 9, 2017

Since  their formation in 2011, The Oxford Coma have cast a pretty unique sound, inspired both by metal and ’60s and ’70s prog rock. For their third proper full length, Everything Out of Tunethey’ve gotten some legendary Chicago names to help out. The album was recorded with Steve Albini, while the album’s first single, “Trauma (Maybe I’m Forgetting Something),” has some help from Intronaut’s Sacha Dunable. The result is a Melvins-like stomp that’s abrasive, aggressive, and leaves you hitting “play” again as soon as it ends – or is that just us? The song premiered on Decibel today, and if you like what you hear, you’ll probably want to pick up Everything Out of Time on October 13th.

It’ll be a minute  before they play out, but here’s where you’ll be able to catch them:

11/11  Austin, TX – The Lost Well w/ BLK OPS
12/08 San Francisco, CA – TBA w/ Bitter Lake and NAME
12/09 Portland, OR – TBA w/ Bitter Lake, Second Sleep and Strangeletter

12/10  Seattle, WA – Highline w/ Bitter Lake and Chrome Lakes
