torche_restarter_306-300x300Torche’s fourth album, Restarter, will be out on February 24th. Today, the band released “Loose Men” via Rolling Stone, and it’s another extremely catchy tune from the album. The Florida band’s overall sound, if you’re unfamiliar with it, is basically a cross between sludge and pop, combining extremely heavy riffs with melodic vocals and hooky choruses. If you’ve heard “Minions” and “Annihilation Affair” from the forthcoming album, you’ve already gotten a taste of the album, which Jonathan Nunez called their “heaviest ever” as they were recording it last year:

“They’re gonna be like, ‘Finally! They stopped fuckin’ around. They’re heavy again!'” he says. “Some people will think it’s different, but has continuity with the other stuff. But there will be the people who come back and say, ‘Oh, I like them again. They’re heavier than ever.’ That word will be brought up a lot.”

Restarter, The band’s first-ever album for Relapse, will be released on February 24th. It’s available for preorder here, even though some of the vinyl pre-orders are already sold out.
