Windhand blowing back into the studio

Posted by on March 3, 2015

Do you like doom? If you’re reading this, the answer is yes, which means you’re probably excited to hear that Windhand is heading into the studio to record their third album, and second for Relapse. The Richmond quintet have holed up at Soundhouse Recording in Seattle, WA to record the still-untitled album with Jack Endino, who’s recorded a few no name bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden and High On Fire. The album is expected out this Fall. And while the album doesn’t have a title, some songs already do, so get ready to hear “Two Urns,” Hyperion” and “Kingfisher” as three of the nine songs on the album when it’s released.

While they’re in the studio now, Windhand will be playing two shows with Sleep in Atlanta on May 3rd and 4th. On the 3rd, they’ll be playing The Masquerade and they’ll play the Center Stage Theater the following day. For more info, follow them on Facebook.
