Rage Against The Machine haven’t been the most active band in recent years. They haven’t put out an album since 2000 (which was a covers album) and their last performance was in 2011. If you’ve been hoping for the band to get back together soon, it looks like that isn’t going to happen, and drummer Brad Wilk isn’t expecting it to happen. He explains to The Pulse of Radio:

“Well, as far as I know, we played our last show in 2011 at the Coliseum, and if that was our last show, that’s a good way to go out. I sort of had to put it in my head that that band is over in order for me to just move on with my life, to be honest with you, so that’s kind of where that lies. The Coliseum — awesome way to go out.”

At least he doesn’t sound bitter about it. There was the idea the band might play the L.A. Rising Festival which was announced to be in the works last year, but this sort of contradicts that thought. Of course, Wilk is only one member of the band, so we’ll see if any other members comment on his thoughts.
