If the name Spotlights rings a bell, it should The Brooklyn-based duo spent a few weeks on the road with Deftones and Refused this past Summer and did a tour diary for us. It was refreshing and exciting to read their entries, as it was their first big tour and they were as psyched to open for Deftones as any independent band would be. It was also pretty cool because our buddy Chris Enrquez from Primitive Weapons filled in on drums for part of the tour as well.

At any rate, the band’s brand of “sludge/gaze” was pretty satisfactory, and the band just released a three-song EP, Spiders.  that’s streaming on CLRVYNT. The album features a reworked song, a remix from Isis/Palms’ Aaron Harris and a cover of the Mew song “She Spider.” Give it a listen below, and if you like it, head over to their Bandcamp and pick it up
