With a new guitarist added to the line-up in Kevin Antreassian, and a European tour in August, The Dillinger Escape Plan are making plans to record another album later this year. When asked about a follow-up to 2013s, One of Us Is the Killer, guitarist and lone founding member Ben Weinman revealed to The Rock Pit that the band will be back in the studio this fall.

Said Weinman,

“Yeah we’re already writing! We’re well onto a new record and the writing process and we’re going into the studio around November so we’re already getting it going.”

The Dillinger Escape Plan’s One of Us Is the Killer debuted at #25 back in 2013. “I hate to talk numbers and stuff,” said Weinman, “but it was our biggest first week in North America out of all our records ever so this far into our career and considering the state of the industry, it’s pretty awesome.”

The band was recently accused of plagiarism for a shirt the designed to celebrate the legalization of gay marriage here in the US. That seemed to have simmered down, but the band noticed some rude comments left on the their Facebook page, “disappointed” that the band would support gay marriage. This only inspired a new Dillinger Escape Plan shirt, which they called, “the ‘gayest’ shirt of all time by any band.”
