Have You Looked At The New Mudvayne Album… On WEED?

Do What You Doob, Packaging

YouTube Preview ImageJust in time for Christmas, Mudvayne’s new self-titled album will be released on Epic Records on December 22. And nothing looks better under a Christmas tree or Hanukkah bush than a brand new Mudvane album. Then again, on first look, the new album won’t look much like anything. The album is being printed on blacklight-reactive ink, so seen in normal light, you won’t notice too much. Once viewed under a blacklight, much like that velvet Jimi Hendrix poster your uncle bought at Spencer Gifts back in the day, the album will take on a life of its own.

In fact, the special editions of the album will capitalize on the unique artwork. The standard jewel case version will be pretty much invisible to the naked eye unless your uncle still has that blacklight. The deluxe edition comes with its own black light, and the super deluxe version has a larger black light, a special edition black light reactive poster, and, as the press release trumpets, MORE! The album will look great if you’re looking at it by yourself, but it will look even better with a bud, if you’re picking up what we’re putting down.

To give their fans a taste of things to come, Mudvayne have posted a new song called “Beautiful and Strange” on their MySpace page.
