Six Feet Under frontman Chris Barnes might be the hardest working man in metal. And he’s also apparently a Republican that just won a seat on the West Hartford town council. While the town council of West Hartford is a world away from the guttural death metal of Six Feet Under, maybe he’s getting older and has decided to settle down in the Northeast. And hey, we can see how he might have been able to appeal to voters in campaign ads, since he has experience in front of the camera.

OK, upon closer inspection, it’s probably not our Chris Barnes. The guy that won on Tuesday has three daughters and is a parishoner at the Church of Saint Timothy. He’s also lived in West Hartford for 17 years. And we’re pretty sure he has no idea of who Cannibal Corpse was and his knowledge of Six Feet Under is relegated to the HBO series. It turns out that maybe Chris Barnes is a popular name. But we can dream, can’t we?
