Radio

So, you wanna be in radio? Longtime Seattle rock station KISW has had the same hosts for their weekly Saturday night “Metal Shop” show for the last eight years. Sadly, Kevin and Steve have left the building. Fortunately, the station hasn’t given up on metal, and are looking for a new host. If you’re in the Seattle area, can talk metal, and are up for your taste in music influencing one of the biggest radio markets in America (#13, according to Arbitron), then you’ll want to act quick, since your deadline to get info to them is on Friday.

Are you a consummate metal head – like, you know Metal, and eat, breath, and sleep metal? Are you the next host of KISW Metal Shop? You have to work at KISW each and every Saturday night, truly know the music, write a blog about the music, introduce bands at clubs and more.

If you want to apply just follow these simple steps. Deadline to enter is Friday, February 26th at 3pm.

Send digital demo, resume, and your 20 song Metal Shop Playlist to:

metalshopjobsearch@kisw.com or mail to:
1100 Olive Way, Ste 1650, Seattle, WA 98101
Attn: Metal Shop Job Search
No phone calls, please.

Sure, radio might not be as important as it used to be, but it’s still listened to by the majority of Americans, and given that KISW is the biggest rock station in America, and that there are probably a ton of metalheads listening at any given time, this could be a great gig.
