Records That Blow

Do you love metal? Do you love porn stars? Who doesn’t, right?! Then you’ll probably be very interested in the latest edition of LA Weekly’s “Porn Legends Who Love Metal” series. In the spirit of Record Store Day (which is this weekend), legendary porn star Jasmin St. Claire shared her love for metal music and vinyl. When discussing how she misses the vinyl album, Claire explained the following:

“CD’s were convenient and downloading even more so, but vinyl was just, it was just so much cooler. You get it and the artwork was just incredible, and you’d open it and they had things in them, like a sticker, I used to love that! My mom still has a bunch of my old stuff.”

You may know Ms. Claire more for her…on screen work. However, in addition to being a porn star legend, she’s also the host of Metal’s Darkside and serves as a metal representative for outlets such as Stay HeavyRoadie Crew Magazine and Yahoo Music. Plus, she’s been working behind the scenes with companies such as Black Widow Management and Black Widow Publishing. Looks like she’s giving Biohazard frontman Evan Seinfeld a run for the title of biggest metalhead in the porn industry!

Check out LA Weekly’s article with Claire to hear her discuss further her love of King Diamond, Metal Blade and Century Media Records, and much more.
