Manowar teased fans with a snippet of new material earlier this year, and have recently been working on a few movie soundtracks (including one with Jean-Claude Van Damme). But now we know when we can expect to hear the power metal legends first album of new material since 2007’s Gods Of War. Titled The Lord Of Steel, Manowar’s new album will be released worldwide on September 28 following a limited-edition pre-release with Metal Hammer. As if that’s not enough to peak your interest, Manowar will also embark on a European tour, with select U.S. dates along the way.

Still need more? Well you’re in luck, since Manowar have released a teaser trailer for the new album and tour, giving us a small taste of new music. Watch the trailer above, and check out the band’s upcoming dates (in case you’ll be in Europe or in the Long Island/New England area) after the jump.
