While on the Metal Alliance Tour, The Faceless treated fans to a new song (sadly, though, footage of the performance has since been removed). Since then, though, not much else had been revealed about a new album. Thus, many were left to wonder whether a new album would ever come out in the near future, even though the tech death metal group are about to embark on the Summer Slaughter (making the release of new material even more likely). Well have no fear, because The Faceless have now confirmed a release date.

Titled Autotheism, The Faceless’ new album will come out on August 14, with pre-orders already available online. And as an added bonus, their label Sumerian Records has released a teaser trailer for the album (which can be seen below). Like many fans, we’re intrigued to hear what The Faceless will sound like following all of the lineup changes they’ve recently gone through. With that said, if the few seconds of music heard in the trailer serve as any indicator, we should be in for one hell of a record.

So waste no further time and check out the trailer for Autotheism after the jump.
