New & Noteworthy, December 18th – Ocean of Void

Posted by on December 18, 2012

This is the end of 2012 for New & Noteworthy, my friends. After this week, we have Christmas and New Year’s Day marking off our Tuesdays and equating with zero new releases. So as I have said for the past two years, thank you for joining me in another year of fantastic new music. I’ve been writing this column for a while now, and the thing that keeps me going is the knowledge that you, the readers, are there to keep Metal Insider running and vibrant. So please keep up the support as we head into 2013 and another exciting year of metal!

We’re closing out the year with a very short list, as you might imagine. So read on and enjoy these last new slices of metal for 2012!

Capture the Crown, ‘Til Death (Sumerian)

One of the new hot signings to Sumerian, this Australian group made a big name for themselves supporting Of Mice & Men on tour recently. ‘Til Death is only being released in Hot Topic to start off with, so you’ll have to head there if you want to get it today. Alternatively, you can also get it through iTunes, which is the route many have already chosen. As per a post on the band’s Facebook last night, ‘Til Death was the #1 metal album on iTunes pre-order, which is a huge accomplishment for them. Let’s hope for great success as they continue forward!

Also being released this week:

Venom, Fallen Angels [Limited] (Universal)

We Came as Romans, Let These Words Last Forever (Equal Vision)

Seven Dirty Words, Blood Highway (Loaded Bomb)

Biters, Last of a Dying Breed (Pipeline)

My friends, I wish you all the happiest of holidays and a safe, enjoyable New Year! I will see you all again in 2013 for more New & Noteworthy!
