Slayer’s New EP Will Be Released Right Before Mayhem Fest Kicks Off

Releases, Updates

Drummer Dave Lombardo revealed last month that Slayer would be releasing a new EP prior to a full length album. However, while talking with Metal Injection on the “black carpet” at this year’s Revolver Golden Gods along with his new band Philm, Lombardo confirmed that the EP will be released right before Mayhem Fest.

Granted, we already assumed that the said EP was going to coincide with Slayer’s stint on Mayhem Fest. With that said, it wasn’t clear until now whether we’d get to hear any new material before the tour’s kick off in San Bernardino, CA on June 30. Plus, now it’s even more likely that Slayer might bust out a new tune live.

You can watch Metal Injection’s interview with Lombardo and Phil in the player above.
