Former Coheed And Cambria Bassist Pleads Guilty To Drugstore Robbery, Diagnosed With Cancer?

Legal Woes, Rumors and Gossip

Even though it’s been almost a year, bassist Mic Todd’s attempt to rob a pharmacy for Oxycontin with a fake bomb minutes before he was set to take the stage in Coheed And Cambria still seems unbelievable. And now, following the bassist’s sentencing earlier this week, the story has appeared to take another sad turn.

According to The Sun Chronicle, the former Coheed And Cambria bassist pleaded guilty and  was sentenced in Fall River Superior Court to serve one year of home confinement with GPS monitoring. Todd was also given an additional three years of probation. However, the Sun Chronicle is also reporting that Todd has been diagnosed with cancer. We had previously heard rumors of this back in April, but had no way of confirming it. In fact, Todd’s diagnosis has still not been officially confirmed.

If such reports are true, though, we hope that Todd makes a speedy recovery and heads towards the right path to sobriety.
