Rumors and Gossip

We’ve already heard (and got confirmation) on one solid touring package happening this year. Now if rumors are true we’re about to get smacked in the face with another. According to our buds at Metal Sucks, Meshuggah’s drummer Tomas Haake and frontman Jens Kidman dropped some major news during a live Q&A web chat earlier today. Apparently, they let it slip that Meshuggah will be touring the U.S. with Decapitated and Baroness.

Ok, we’ll let everyone let that sink in for a second…WOW! Now before we get ahead of ourselves, no one from either band’s camp have confirmed anything. So as if we have to tell you, take this rumor with a grain of salt. Of course, it would make sense since Meshuggah will release a new album in March, while Baroness have been working on new music themselves…Ok, now WE’RE getting ahead of ourselves. Let’s hope more is revealed soon.

UPDATE: video of Haake and Kidman’s Q&A from earlier today has made it’s way online. Around the 31:40 mark, they confirm that they will be touring North America with Baroness and Decapitated in May. Hopefully dates and an official announcement will be made soon, but for now you can watch the live chat below.
