Tour Manager/Guitar Tech Badly Beaten During Anthrax And Testament’s Show In Denver, Family Seeks Help

Dane Wolf has worked as a tour manager and guitar tech for many well respected metal bands. Recently, he was working as Death Angel’s guitar tech on Anthrax and Testament’s current tour. However, during the tour’s stop in Denver, CO on October 19, Wolf was attacked and badly beaten by a group of locals. The incident forced Dane to drop off the tour so he can fully recuperate. However, because he makes his living while on the road, it’s hard for him to pay for the medical attention needed. Thus, his family has set up fundraising page to help pay for his medical bills.
Dane’s sister Jenna posted the following explanation on the Give Forward donation page:
“My brother Dane was badly beaten while on tour with Anthrax in Denver. Please help in whatever way you can by assisting with his medical bills and upcoming travel expenses to and from CO when things go to court. There will be additional medical costs in the future as well, as he continues to recover and requires follow-up care.
The goal has now been raised due to the amazing response of Dane’s friends and family. Thank you so much for your continued support, and for sharing the link, and his story!”
Dane himself gave the following update on the donation page yesterday (October 26):
“Hey everybody, I’m back at ma’s house getting all the rest I need, my body seems to be healing more and more every day. I meet with the surgeon tomorrow, if I don’t have to go under the knife it is all recovery from here on out My little sis is in town also now, and my old cat won’t leave me alone, I’ll take it I visited my donation page and am just shocked at the love for me. I just got off the phone with Loana at Nuclear Blast and they were all worried about me, NB has always treated me like family and I appreciate all they are doing also. Hats off to you all, you are lifting what could have been such a financial burden to me and my family right off of our shoulders. I’ve always known my friends are the best, and aside from that the metal community has shown that they take care of their own like no other family in music. Truly amazing. Love heals all, thank you!”
The good news is that as of right now, $5,660 has already been raised, leaving $1,840 left of their goal. If you wish to help in any way or to donate to Wolf’s recovery, head over to their Give Forward page. We wish Dane the best of luck in his road to recovery.
