Rex Brown And Vinnie Appice Form New Group Together

Supergroup From Hell

Last month, Rex Brown parted ways with a side project of his called Arms Of The Sun. But now it appears he’s found something else to keep him busy, as if Down wasn’t enough to have on his plate. It’s been announced that the Down/ex-Pantera bassist has teamed up with drummer Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell) for a new project called Kill Devil Hill. The group, not to be confused by The Kill Devil Hills, also features Mark Zavon (Ratt,  W.A.S.P., 40 Cycle Hum) on guitar and Dewey Bragg on vocals.

According to Appice, Kill Devil Hill has already recorded 10 demos, while it’s sound is influenced by Black Sabbath, Alice In Chains and Led Zeppelin. So far, only a Facebook page for the band has been created, with no music sampling made available yet. Although, with a member of Pantera and Black Sabbath in its ranks, we have a feeling that at the very least Kill Devil Hill will be pretty heavy. We’ll keep you posted when more is revealed.
