Is there anything Dave Grohl can’t do? If you’ve seen any of the Foo Fighters’ promos or music videos, then you know that Dave Grohl is a big comedy fan. And now it looks like the frontman will soon add the title “Comedy executive producer” to his credentials.

According to Deadline, Grohl has signed on as an executive producer for a new FX half hour comedy created by comedian Dana Gould. Though still in development and without a title, the show is supposedly about a band on the verge of stardom seeking the help of a professional therapist (who ends up being a couple’s therapist dealing with his own divorce) in an attempt to avoid breaking up.

Sounds like it could be a fun show, and FX has a good reputation for backing hysterical comedies (such as It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and The League). Although as Metal Sucks points out, this sounds somewhat like a comedic version of Some Kind Of Monster. Either way, Grohl and Gould’s comedy has strong potential, or at least more than Fred Durst’s sitcom.
