Last year, the long-running CBS reality show Big Brother got a bit of metal cred by including cast member Adam Poch, the metal and bacon-loving music industry exec that made it all the way to third place on the show. This year, they’re continuing to up the metal quotient by including Jennifer Arroyo, former bassist of Kittie, as a member. Arroyo was the bassist of Kittie from 2002-2005, later founding Suicide City with Biohazard’s Billy Graziadei. A fixture in Manhattan, she has also DJ’d around the city, playing metal.

Needless to say, for any fans of metal and Big Brother, now there’s a reason to watch the show. Among those that will be watching is Poch. “Glad to see there will be a fellow metalhead in the house this season following in my footsteps,” he told Metal Insider. “Obviously I am going to be rooting for her. Music is also my passion and my paycheck, and going without it for three months was hard. She should do fine. After all, being on the road for as long as she has, I am sure she has met many different kinds of people. Being able to adapt and get along with people from all sorts of backgrounds is key to keeping yourself safe. GO JENN! Bring it home for the headbangers!!!”

I guess we’ll be watching too now, even though we swore off ever watching Big Brother again after Adam got eliminated.
