Glenn Danzig has a great sense of humor about himself. For example, remember that hysterical Jackass-like video when he pretended to get knocked out by one of his opening bands? Hysterical! And that wacky cat litter picture? Hilarious! Okay, maybe neither of those was meant to be funny, but somewhere beneath his tough guy exterior lurks someone with an actual sense of humor, and you’ll get to see that soon enough, as the Elvis of Evil had agreed to play himself on an upcoming episode of Portlandia, the Fred Armisen/Carrie Brownstein comedy show on IFC.

Brownstein let the kitty litter out of the bag when tweeting a picture of the three. It certainly looks like Glenn is having fun in the shot, and it’ll be fun to see how he winds up on the show, which gently skewers hipper than thou Portland, OR. No word on when the show will air yet.
