It’s been about two years since we’ve seen new episodes of Metalocalypse. Finally, the wait is almost over as Adult Swim have confirmed when the almighty Dethklok will return to our TV screens. Metalocalypse’s fourth season will premiere on Sunday, April 29 at 12:15am (ET/PT). And in case you hadn’t already heard, this season will feature guest appearances from the likes of Corpsegrinder (Cannibal Corpse), Cam Pipes (3 Inches Of Blood), Dweezil Zappa, actor Jon Hamm and director Werner Herzog. Now we can die saying that we’ve found a way to mention Corpsegrinder and Mad Men’s Jon Hamm in the same sentence.

In addition to that, co-creator Brendon Small has also confirmed the release date of his new solo project Galaktikon. We’ve previously heard one song called “On My Way,” but we’ll finally get to hear the entire album on April 24 (just in time for the Season 4 premiere of Metalocalypse). But how is Galaktikon getting distributed? Well, we recently had the chance to interview Small about the season premiere and Galaktikon. During our chat, Small confirmed that he will be self-releasing Galaktikon.

We’ll be posting our full interview with Small online soon, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, we’re counting down the hours to April 29. While you’re at it, you can also listen to another new song off of Galaktikon called “Dangertits” over at GuitarSquid.com.

Update: Galaktikon will now be released on April 29, the same date as Metalocalypse’s fourth season premiere. In other news, our interview with Brendon Small himself has just been posted online.
