The Shape Of Metal To Come

Frontman Dennis Lyxzén has been busy as of late since reuniting with Refused. However, it looks like the hardcore singer found some time to work with unlikely collaborators.

Earlier today, Lyxzén revealed via tweet that he is working with Bob Cornelius Rifo of Italian dance punk outfit The Bloody Beetroots and Canada’s very own Anvil, saying:

“In Italy working with Bob of The Bloody Beetroots. Recording a cover-version of Metal on Metal w/ Anvil. What???”

As you can see, the tweet still leave a lot unanswered. Whether or not the members of Anvil are actually in Italy recording with the Refused singer and Rifo is at the moment unclear. But more importantly, why are they recording a cover of Anvil’s most well-known song “Metal On Metal” to begin with?

Unfortunately, not much else is known about this unusual collaboration. Guess we’ll just have to wait to hear what new noise the three come up with together.
