Earlier today, Megadeth announced that not only were they planning to perform Countdown To Extinction in its entirety on tour, but that they also were celebrating its 20th anniversary by releasing a remastered and expanded edition of the album (to be released on November 6 via EMI/Capitol Records). That got us to thinking about all the other albums celebrating their 20th birthday. And you know what, there were a lot of killer metal and hard rock albums that came out in 1992.

In fact, there are so many great albums that came out that year that we felt it was next to impossible to pick only five albums for a Top 5. That’s why we decided this week to expand our list to 10. So click on the page numbers below to find out our top 10 metal and hard rock albums celebrating their 20th anniversary this year.
