2. Anthrax- Worship Music (2011)

We’ve said it before, but we’ll say it again: this album had everything going against it. After finally finishing recording the album (their first since 2003’s We’ve Come For You All), the band suddenly found themselves in a pickle: then-new singer Dan Nelson suddenly left (or was fired, depending on who you asked). After courting former singer John Bush to no avail, Anthrax brought back Joey Belladonna (who had been fired twice before) to re-record the album. At the time, it seemed like an act of desperation that could’ve gone either way. But as it turns out, the move paid off big time, since not only did Belladonna’s return (as well as a few Big 4 shows) help them regain the metal community’s interest, but also lead to one of our favorite albums of 2011. And seeing that Worhsip Music debuted just outside the top 10 (the first time they made it to the top 20 since 1993’s Sound Of White Noise), it’s safe to say that most fans also agree that the album is Anthrax’s best in a long time.
