Honorable Mention: Avenged Sevenfold

Avenged Sevenfold are proud Republicans, but as our buddy Axl Rosenberg from Metal Sucks proclaimed nearly five years ago, “They’re five wealthy kids from the OC. Of course they’re conservatives.” M. Shadows has said that the song “Blinded in Chains” from City of Evil is about the philosophical war between Republicans and Democrats, telling Newsday that while Republicans were “excessively close-minded,” that democrats are “a bunch of idiots where everyone looks at Michael Moore and does what he says.” They haven’t been outspoken about their politics in recent years.
