5) Nachtmystium, “Seasick”
OK, this is really in on a technicality. Yakuza’s Bruce Lamont is the musician on here, and we’ll get to them in a minute. But for Chicago black metal band Nachtmystium’s fourth album, the spellbinding Assassins:Black Meddle Part 1, Lamont’s appearance just upped the mind-fuckiness of an album that “meddled” with what black metal is about. After the psychedelia, subtle electronics and genre-jumping of the rest of the album, Lamont’s appearance on the album-closing “Seasick” trilogy just felt like the right thing to do.

  • C Mon now

dude really?? u name a bunch of sax-men that play little to barely any parts except the Shinning. You should of done some real research and look for real band that incorporate the sax into almost their songs instead of just one or two songs in which i would NOT consider it be all jazzy/ black or be considered an album with a sax-man etc. but no….. Next time look up the genre “Black-jazz” and bands that use the Sax; rather than say, “O yea there a sax on this album watch out! (only on one/ two songs not the album)”

P.S. You should know metal arch. does help a lot….. especially if your giving us news, and blogging about metal
