5. Slayer, Diabolus In Musica

Following the three-album hat trick of Reign in BloodSouth of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss, Slayer became a band that could do no wrong – or at least until Diabolus in Musica came out in 1998. The next to last album to be released before drummer Dave Lombardo rejoined the fold, it’s about as close to trying to fit in with current trends as Slayer ever came. However, the current trend at the time was nu-metal, which led to fans accusing the band of selling out. That was enough for them to return to heaviness with 2001’s God Hates us All and to stop playing anything from Diabolus.

Ozzy’s my favorite musician and even I’ll agree that Down To Earth and most of Black Rain weren’t up too par with the rest of his catalog. However,   Scream is probably one of my favorite albums by him; right behind No More Tears, Blizzard, and Diary. Anyway, I’m just glad you didn’t put Sabbath’s “Never Say Die” album on here, it may not be close to their best but it is a original-lineup Black Sabbath album, nothing beats that.

Of course it says you could do a “Top 5 Disappointing Albums” on Metallica. Everyone is dissing on them and it’s absolute crap. Last time I checked they were in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But who cares what I say. I’m only a 13 year old girl. Nothing else matters.. :/
