It’s been a few years since Alice In Chains released their last studio album, 2013’s The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here. That’s not stopping them from heading out on the road, however, as they announced a Summer tour that will find them headlining theaters and casinos. The good news, other than the face that you’ll get to see them this year, is that they state that the’ll be spending the rest of the year on writing and recording what will be their sixth album. And on top of that, they’re donating $2 of each pre-sale to the family of a fan of theirs that sadly died from Leukemia.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale tomorrow. Actual on sale dates will be either Thursday, 3/13 or Friday, 3/14. Here’s what the band say:
Hey Everyone-
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be heading out this summer for a four-week tour across the U.S. We felt an urge to hit the road and have some fun playing for all of you since the majority of our year will be dedicated to writing and recording. All of the dates are below. Pre-sales begin tomorrow, 3/10.
The pre-sale for this tour will be a little different from past tours. Thanks to the great people at WMRQ in Hartford, CT, we became close with a young man named Stefan Dayne-Ankle, who sadly last week lost a courageous battle with Leukemia. To honor Stefan, and to give him the memorial he deserves, we’re donating $2 from every pre-sold ticket on this tour to his family.
