Rumors and Gossip, Touring

On March 18, the lineup to this year’s Mayhem Fest will be officially announced. Rumors on who will be playing the touring metal festival have continued to spread online, while we’ve also made our own predictions. However, now there are three names we can add onto the list of strong possibilities.

Shortly after Mayhem Fest posted the teaser video above, three bands made Facebook posts that strongly hint at their participation. Those three bands (as The PRP noticed) include Amon Amarth, Job For A Cowboy, and Battlecross. Out of those three, Job For A Cowboy is the only who previously appeared on the festival. The only other band that seems like a sure thing is Behemoth, who previously let it slip that they were pretty much locked in.

Granted, we’re sure that the to-be-announced headliners will be more on the commercial side (the leading contender seems to be Rob Zombie). Still, Amon Amarth alone makes for a pretty brutal addition to the tour, let alone Job For A Cowboy and Battlecross. We’ll have to wait till March 18, though, for confirmation about Mayhem Fest’s lineup.
