Over 25 years and nine albums later, Angra have announced their first-ever full-fledged North American headlining run. Throughout the course of their entire career, including bumps such as hiatuses and lineup changes, we have only seen them perform selected shows here over the years.
Following the release of the Brazilian power metallers ninth studio effort Ømni, it was only a matter of time until they surprised us with not 5, not 15, but 32 tour dates! The band will return to this year’s ProgPower on September 6th at Atlanta Georgia, and this time around, they are traveling across North America up until October 14th in Cleveland, OH. Perhaps one thing that’s helped is that the band’s profile has increased since guitarist Kiko Louriero has joined Megadeth.
The group revealed this news on their Facebook:
According to the band’s Facebook and Website, not all venues have been revealed just yet.
