While Anthrax have been going full force with Joey Belladonna, former Anthrax singer John Bush has been keeping busy with his original group Armored Saint. However, despite releasing La Raza (their first album since 2000’s Revalation) last year, the reactivated LA metal group have done very little touring. In fact, it’s actually been two decades (yup, twenty years) since the band has played in New York City. Well it may not be a full tour, but newly announced dates should still please many of Armored Saint’s East Coast fans.

Armored Saint will be playing three East Coast shows, including one in NYC, with special guests Seven Witches. Not only will the band be playing songs from their entire catalog, but Armored Saint will also be taking requests from the audience MID-WAY through the show. Bassist Joey Vera had the following to say about what they’re planning for the three shows:

“In July, we held a poll asking fans to choose their favorite Saint songs and we compiled a list of the top 10. At recent gigs in Los Angeles and in Germany, we would allow fans to come up and choose one of the top 10 songs for us to play, right there on the spot. We did this 3 times during our set. It was such a good time that we’re going to do this again for our tri-state shows. John Bush will stop the show at 3 different times and choose someone from the crowd to come up and pick what song we play next. So come down and be a part of choosing our set list for the night!”

The show will also be special for Seven Witches fans, as they’ll mark the return of singer Alan Tecchio (following the departure of singer Rivera). You can check out the dates for Armored Saint’s mini-East Coast tour, as well as Seven Witch’s current lineup, after the jump.
