To honor the memories of two young fans who passed recently, Bullet For My Valentine is posthumously taking them out on the road this summer.

James Simmons (18) and Corran “Coz” Powell (21) were huge Bullet For My Valentine fans involved in a fatal car crash in late 2014. Following their passing, both families shared portions of their sons’ ashes to be made into jewelery and sent to the band, who had offered to take the pieces out on tour as a memorial gesture when Cowell’s brother reached out to them.

Powell’s piece is in the shape of a cog reminiscent of Gears of War, and Simmons’ family had his remains preserved in a cylindrical, gold piece.  Both families emphasized how much this would have meant to their sons, who music meant a lot to. James’ father Mike Simmons shared, “Music really was Coz and James’ life. James was a big fan of Bullet for My Valentine, Slipknot and My Chemical Romance.”

These meaningful pieces of jewelery will follow Bullet For My Valentine across North America on their “Summer’s Last Stand” tour with Slipknot, Lamb of God and Motionless in White. You can view the dates here and below:
