Touring, Updates

As originally hinted at by theprp.com, and confirmed to us by the festival’s organizer, Dirge Within and Forged In Flame are no longer on the inaugural Shockwave Festival. In addition, Revocation and Vildhjarta have dropped off. An official statement from the festival’s organizer says that it’s “due to unforeseen circumstances.”

The bands that will still be playing on the festival are Fear Factory, Voivod, Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, Havok, Last Chance To Reason and The Browning. As of this posting, all four bands of the bands that have dropped off were still listed on the tour’s website.

While we’re waiting to see if there will be any bands replacing them, it’s still a solid lineup even if those bands aren’t replaced, but it begs the question as to why one third of the artists on an announced tour suddenly aren’t on it any more. The tour dates are as follows:

7/6 Studio Seven – Seattle, WA

7/7 Vogue Theatre – Vancouver, BC

7/11 Pyramid Cabaret – Winnipeg, MB

7/12 Station 4 – St Paul, MN

7/13 The Rave – Milwaukee, WI

7/14 Kool House – Toronto, ON

7/17 Imperial Theater – Quebec City, QC

7/18 Club Soda – Montreal, QC

7/20 Northern Lights – Clifton, NY

7/21 Town Ballroom – Buffalo, NY

7/22 Reverb – Reading, PA

7/25 Palladium – Worcester, MA

7/26 Empire – Springfield, VA

7/29 Tebala Shrine – Rockford, IL

8/2 Nakai Hall – Window Rock, AZ

8/3 The Marqee Theater – Tempe, AZ

8/4 House Of Blues- Hollywood, CA
