Down Announce Fall U.S. Tour

Touring

During their most recent mini-U.S. tour, Down teased fans by playing a new song off of the first of their four new EPs, supposedly titled Down IV. While it’s looking more likely that Down IV will come out sometime this Fall, we at least know for sure that the Nola supergroup will be touring by then.

That’s because Down have confirmed dates for another U.S. trek yesterday (June 9). While Philip Anselmo and co. performed mostly in the South last May, this September and October will see them playing shows scattered all over the country. Furthermore, support on a majority of dates will supposedly come from Warbeast and haarp (both of whom appear on Anselmo’s label Housecore Records).  Meanwhile, Ticketmaster also let it slip that Saint Vitus will perform at the New York date while Pentagram will appear at the Philadelphia date. It’s unclear whether both bands will appear on more dates or not, nor have Down confirmed either bands’ participation.

Dates confirmed for Down’s Fall U.S. outing so far can be seen after the jump. While we hope to hear more new material live during these shows, we also hope that the EP will already have been released by then.

9/18 Fort Worth, TX – Ridglea Theater

9/19 Tulsa, OK – Cain’s Ballroom

9/21 Sauget, IL – Pop’s

9/22 Chicago, IL – House Of Blues
