Dream Theater have added two new dates to their already announced North American Fall tour in support of their new album A Dramatic Turn Of Events (coming out September 13). While support for the tour will come from Trivium, djent metal proggers Periphery will be opening for the band on these two select dates.

Guitairst Misha Mansoor had the following to say about Periphery’s upcoming opening gig:

“To say that the chance for Periphery to open for Dream Theater is a dream come true would be a gross understatement. Dream Theater has been one of my favorite bands for about as long as I can remember. I started taking guitar seriously and bought my first 7 string because of John Petrucci. If it weren’t for Dream Theater, Periphery simply would not exist. I can’t express in words just how excited we are for the opportunity to share the stage with them.”

The band’s opening dates with Dream Theater will happen right after Periphery’s headlining tour with The Human Abstract, The Contortionist, and Textures. Check out the exact dates and links to purchasing tickets below.

10/15 – Albany, NY – Palace Theater

10/16 – Philadelphia, PA – Merriam Theatre
