Touring

It was revealed earlier this month that Dream Theater would be touring with special guests Trivium. Today, though, a handful of dates for the Fall trek have been announced.

Though they’ve been playing the European circuit all Summer, this tour will mark Dream Theater’s first North American performances with new drummer Mike Mangini. The tour kicks off in San Francisco on September 24, just twelve days after their new album A Dramatic Turn Of Events is released. Guitarist John Petrucci had the following to say about the Fall tour:

“We are all very pumped about the release of A Dramatic Turn of Events this September, as well as the world tour we’ll embark upon in support of the album. Our first leg will bring us throughout North America where we’ll showcase songs from the new album along with tons of fan favorites and a brand new tour production unlike any other that we’ve done before.  We’re equally excited to have our friends in Trivium join us. It’s sure to be an incredible tour. We’re looking forward to seeing all of our friends on the road this Fall!”
