And now the Summer of 2012 has gotten even more crowded. This morning, the lineup and dates for the inaugural Shockwave Festival Tour have been announced.

Presented by Full Metal Jackie, the Summer tour boasts a lineup featuring Fear Factory, Voivod, Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, Revocation, Havok, Dirge Within, Last Chance To Reason, Vildhjarta, The Browning and Forged In Flame. Pre-sale tickets for most of the shows will be go on sale as soon as today (May 2) at 3pm PST via its website, with a public sale starting on May 5. In addition to regular priced tickets, the tour will also be offering Meet & Greet packages ($65 for U.S. shows, $75 for Canadian dates).

As we already mention, this Summer is already jam packed with major touring festivals, including Mayhem FestSummer SlaughterAll Stars Tour and more recently the Trespass America Festival. On top of that, each one of those festivals has a pretty stellar lineup. With that said, Shockwave Fest’s billing is pretty interesting as well, with Fear Factory and Voivod alone grabbing our attention. Add in bands like Cattle Decapitation, Revocation and Last Chance To Reason, and you got yourself a diverse touring package worth taking notice of.
