Rumors and Gossip, Touring

Last week, rumors started to spread about the Trespass America Festival. Bands like Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage, Trivium and many others were mentioned, but it remained unclear whether this would be a one-off date or a full.

Well, an official announcement is expected to be made later today. However, a tour poster (as seen above) found by Blabbermouth essentially confirms that this tour is indeed happening. It also confirms that Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Emmure, God Forbid, Pop Evil, and Battlecross will be on the tour’s bill. And the fact that more dates have already started to slip out makes it safe to say that this is indeed a touring festival and not a one-off. Plus, from what we can see on the poster, it would appear that the tour is being sponsored by UK magazine Metal Hammer (hence the name Trespass America).

The touring festival certainly chose an interesting time to launch, considering that they’ll be competing against Mayhem Fest and Summer Slaughter (both of whom have incredibly strong lineups). With that said, Five Finger Death Punch will definitely attract a lot of hard rock fans, while Killswitch Engage are getting a lot of buzz from their New England Metal & Hardcore Festival performance. Add in bands like Trivium and God Forbid, and you got a pretty solid lineup.

Though this looks pretty much like a sure thing, an official announcement is expected to be made sometime this afternoon during a press conference at the Key Club in West Hollywood, California.

UPDATE: Dates for the Trespass America Festival, along with the official tour poster, have made its way online.
