Ghost are looking for a few good (bad?) nuns

Posted by on September 28, 2015

Last night at Ghost’s sold-out Terminal 5 show in New York City, Papa Emeritus III asked about the other pope that was in New York last week. “How about this Frankie guy,” he said. “I heard that he wanted all the nuns to be there when he spoke. We need nuns.” It turns out that they’re serious about that, or at least as serious as Ghost can be,  because today via social media, they put out a call for nuns of the 21 years and over variety to serve alcohol. Here’s the announcement, which might have the best email address ever:

“Ladies of the World!

We are looking for females to serve as NUNS at every gig, since we usually rely on local talent everywhere we go.

So, if this is something for YOU –

Send
– YOUR NAME
– PICTURE
– DATE OF BIRTH (which we will need since you will be handing out alcohol, so you have to be 21 years old)

to
nunsjustwannahavefun@gmail.com
Important : Write THE CITY IN WHICH YOU WISH TO PARTAKE in the header”

There may be some that find this sexist and/or misogynistic. Then again, those people probably wouldn’t pay money to see a satanic pope sing hymns to the devil. It’s interesting that they’ve just now, after one week on tour, decided to implement this, but what Papa wants, Papa gets. Here are the remaining tour dates:
