Gojira and the Devin Townsend Project arguably released two of the best metal albums of 2012. And now the two are joining forces for what could be one of the best tours of 2013.

Exclusively announced during Full Metal Jackie’s show Saturday night (October 20), it was confirmed that Gojira would kick off 2013 by touring with Hevy Devy himself. As if that wasn’t enough, also appearing on the tour will be The Atlas Moth. That’s right, Gojira, Devin Townsend Project, AND The Atlas Moth touring North America in January and February of 2013. Take a moment to let that all sink in…

Tickets go on sale October 26 and 27. As an added bonus for those who purchase tickets before December 1, though, Full Metal Jackie is offering live downloads of Gojira’s “Love” and “Toxic Garbage Island” recorded from their performance at Webster Hall Studio in August, as well as a full live recording from the band’s current European tour. Pretty cool bonus, but we were already sold on buying tickets early from just hearing Gojira and Townsend’s names together. And who knows, maybe Townsend will join Gojira onstage again for a song or two.
