Food poisoning, it’s a bitch. Apparently, Huntress had to cancel their show in Germany tonight due to frontwoman Jill Janus taking ill. In a post on their Facebook page (since removed), the singer left an apology to those fans for missing the show – and a picture of her worshipping the porcelain god wearing nothing more than a hairnet and some socks. It’s not necessarily a flattering picture, but it’s certainly one that shows that life on the road isn’t all rock star all the time. Here’s what the note said:

My beloved Hamburg, tonight for the very first time got a brutal case of food poisoning. I suspect a lamb chop. I display my humility and honesty for your viewing (yet again, thx CGs) This is the reality of tour life. And those socks! Will someone help me out and get this sick bitch some decent socks? I’m out of mind (duh) but need you — the fans who came to see Huntress tonight, please know how much I LOVE YOU. I might barf all night, but I’m thinking of you inside my porcelain throne. Anyone who attended the show at The Rock Cafe tonight, EMAIL ME at info@huntresskills.com and I will write you a personal note + send you a Huntress patch. Now, back to the puke party. XOXO JJ

On the plus side, the next time a magazine does their “hottest chicks in metal that are vomiting” issue, Jill’s a shoo-in for the cover. And at least she provided photographic (with emphasis on the graphic) proof as to why the band had to cancel. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for her.
