Touring, Updates

The Summer Slaughter Tour has been a little off schedule in regards to announcing new additions to this year’s lineup. Last night, though, Job For A Cowboy and Periphery were officially confirmed for this year’s Summer Slaughter. The two bands join Cannibal Corpse, Between The Buried And Me, The Faceless, Veil Of Maya, Goatwhore and Exhumed in this stellar lineup.

As awesome as these two additions are, this also might not come as too big of a shocker to some. Not only have Job For A Cowboy and Periphery been rumored for the tour for some time now, but many observant readers may have noticed that the confirmed bands for Summer Slaughter were also added to the Heavy MTL and Heavy T.O. festivals’ lineups. Then there was also the leak from a Mayhem Fest Facebook fan page (not the official one) that made its way around the web yesterday.

If we are to go by the leak, then the only band left to be officially announced is Fleshgod Apocalypse. The Summer Slaughter Tour’s most recent announcement confirms that there are still two slots left to be announced, though the second TBA could be the opening slot band still to be voted on. Still, the lineup as is already has us extremely impressed and excited for the tour.
