Following their gig opening for Clutch on the band’s Earth Rocker tour, Orange Goblin will headline with the help of a diverse metal entourage. The UK group will unite with Holy Grail and Lazer/Wulf for a North American tour this fall.
While the pairing of Orange Goblin and Holy Grail may not seem like a standard match, we think it’s pretty sick. Holy Grail’s throwback thrash style may pose an inviting contrast to Orange Goblin’s blues metal influenced sound. Orange Goblin has gotten high praise from Clutch’s Neil Fallon as the singer proudly displayed the band’s t-shirt on VH1’s That Metal Show and said the band was one of his favorite “new” bands. And Holy Grail has also gotten some nice attention thanks to their stint on the Metal Alliance tour with Anthrax and Exodus this past spring.
