OK, so we’re not that familiar with Kill The Music, so this should very much be taken with a grain of salt, but the site claims to have some intel about this Summer’s Vans Warped Tour. If this turns out to be true, it’s going to be pretty different from previous years. The site says that “Bad Religion, Lagwagon, CKY, Black Veil Brides, Beartooth, Hatebreed and GWAR are a few of the many bands playing this year.”

First off, GWAR playing Warped would line up with them not doing the GWAR-B-Q this year, even if they’re supposedly working on a new album. It’d also be a nice way for the band to bring in a new demographic. The average 15 or 16 year-old probably has no idea who GWAR are, and this will turn them on to an entirely new generation, as well as coax some parents out of the old people tent. CKY reforming would certainly be exciting to those that saw them play the annual Summer festival in the early 2000s. Beartooth and Hatebreed are also veterans of the tour, having played it before. What might make it different, if Kill The Music’s intel is correct, is that it says that 25 bands have been cut from the usual lineup “to ensure this year is quality.” To be fair, there are usually so many bands playing, that it’d be kinda hard to tell if there were 25 less. The site’s sources also saw that there are five bands playing from Fat Wreck Chords and five from Epitaph. That seems about normal.

Last year, the lineup was leaked in March, so we’ll find out for sure who’s playing the 23rd incarnation of the festival about a month from now regardless.
