Black Sabbath are headlining, Soundgarden and Motörhead are playing as well. But arguably the highlight of the fest is Faith No More, who will be playing their first show since 2012. Soulfly, Wolfmother, Kobra and the Lotus and Gallows are among the other heavy bands playing on the 4th.

While there are still no plans for Faith No More to record any new material, it was doubtful they’d even be playing shows any time soon after the touring cycle for their first reunion ended in 2012. Mike Patton said the reunion “petered out,” suggesting the band didn’t want to tarnish their reputation.  There haven’t been any shows announced beyond this one, but it would seem unlikely for them to only play one show this summer, so don’t be surprised if they wind up playing some more festivals.

There are two other days for the British Summer Festival. The 6th of July will be the British boy band day, while the 12th will see Neil Young and Crazy Horse and The National headlining.
