Shadows Fall, God Forbid Tour Bus Catches On Fire

That's Unfortunate, Touring

Fire From The Sky became much more than an album title for Boston-based Shadows Fall last night who are currently on their “To The Apocalypse 2012″ tour with God Forbid, Thy Will Be Done and Trumpet The Harlot. Their tour bus, which they share with God Forbid, reportedly caught fire near today’s destination.

The band was still in Lexington-Fayette, KY last night when it happened and luckily no one was harmed during the incident. Shadows Fall drummer Jason Bittner stated:

Everyone is fine, I repeat fine. It’s no big deal. I was in my hotel room sick the whole time and had no clue, so please all well-wishers be known, it’s no biggie, we’re good.

You never know when those hangovers come in handy. Some pictures of the bus were released, however there is no information as of yet just how the bus caught on fire. Being the minor incident it was, Shadows Fall and God Forbid are not backing down from their current tour schedule in the least. Their latest album “Fire From The Sky” was released in May and marks one of many takeovers of Razor&Tie as the label to sign with in 2012.

It’s been a rough season for touring metal bands. In fact, this is the second bus fire this month. Thankfully there were no injuries, but this should be a wake up call for bus companies to step up their  inspections. Catch the tour at tonight’s show in Lexington.
